Manguy walks in to a bar...

Free at last? Lol last project done in maya for this quarter! Thank goodness. This is the result of 4 weeks. Its a huge western saloon and hotel but I was only able to finish the first floor. I would like to go back to it and finish the top floor but I dont really need it. I will be using this for my demo reel so texture will come later on. Everything is fairly low poly. Didn't turn out too bad. I need alot of critiques on this one so let it rain. No critiques? Then let me know what you think!

Pew Pew

Hmm, what exactly is this? I guess a robot gun of the future? Looks scary lol. Second project I did for Modeling 2. Its a sentry gun of some sorts. What I really wanted to model was a western magnum with a laser and a scope but apparently it wasnt sci-fi enough so I decided to go with this. Looked easy at first but trying to make a gun look nice and detailed under a strict poly limit is a bit hard. I liked how they gun itself turned out, as for the base it doesn't look right so I have to do something about it if I decide to go back to this project. I highly doubt it ;). I modeled it to reference so its not all my fault. The drawing I followed didn't quite have the bottom part finished so I had to make it up. Lota wasted polies at the bottom and elsewhere. Definitely did not have fun making this. All that aside I think its pretty cool looking and could see it being used in a game. Crits not really wanted for this but are still welcome. Let me know how you think it turned out.

Rolling in a Stage Coach :O

Hmm dont see alot these nowadays. For 3d modeling II class I decided to model a nice western Wells Fargo Stage Coach. I had lotsta refrence and even managed to find myself an okay side view of the design. It was modeled with my demo reel in mind. I think it looks really good for such a low poly model haha, still a few things to change but I like how it turned out. Look forward to a textured version soon. Dont know if I should make it look really new and shiny or beatup and dirty. If you have any ideas let me know ;). I have gotten some good feed back for this model but not a lot of critiques so if you have some let me hear it! Let me know what you think.

Condoriantown, Frizzville, _______polis

Final fruit of my labor in Environment class. This was like our own individual mini productions of just one frame. Sounded easy at first but getting it to look and feel like a real city was tough. If you look really close you should see my models (2 front buildings, Streetlights, Traffic Lights). Skytrain track, along with the road were also produced by me. Rendered in Mental ray physical sun and sky then tweaked abit in photoshop since I had some problems with gamma corrections that's why the render looks abit washed out. As always feedback, constructive crits or any type of comments are welcome!

Prop Modeler wanted ;)

A few props I modeled for an environment class, not too shabby could use some improvements on textures but overall not too bad. They are street props that were used in an environment layout that will be posted later on. Enjoy! Critiques and any type of comments are more than welcome!

Hello!! Environments

First post lol niceee! So decided to make a blog to post my works and get feed back stuff like that until my website is ready. So first post, umm yea these renders are what I was able to make in Environment Modeling class, I thought these were pretty good for my first environments. Of course the class is now embedded into my head and so I can whip up something better than these. Just not yet because I'm abit occupied with other stuff. But expect to see nicer ones soon ;). I've gotten lotsa crits on these 2 but more are also welcome. Let me know what you think :)!
